Everyone can volunteer – from all cultures, abilities, backgrounds and age groups. MVSC has hundreds of local volunteering opportunities and can help you find the perfect one that matches your interests, skills and availability.
Mental Health and Learning Disability
If you have additional needs, or face barriers to accessing volunteering opportunities, Volunteer Merton can put you in touch with the appropriate support.
They support 14-18 year olds facing barriers in their life to volunteer. Volunteers can also be positive role models by befriending a young person who would like to try new things and overcome personal challenges.
Volunteering and Training
They offer 8-week placements for those with additional needs to learn retail and customer service skills, with the aim of progressing into paid employment, further volunteering or training.
They help organisations by offering them training or one to one guidance on recruiting and managing volunteers.
If you can’t find what you are looking for on their website (below), why not go along to one of their recruitment sessions, where they will discuss your interests and match you with a suitable volunteering opportunity.
